Cafe Esplanade - Palmerston North City

There is a wide range of gf options on the menu here and the setting in Palmerston North’s Esplanade is lovely. However, unfortunately cross-contamination is often an issue. Unfortunately I wouldn’t advise eating here if one is Coeliac, though I have my fingers crossed that maybe in the future it might become somewhere safe to eat!

6/5 star honestly great. Simple bacon and eggs are phenomenal. Simple touches i really appreciate, like buttering the toast before piling it on the plate. Loads of eggs

Nice place, good food...bit expensive for the portion of Eggs Bene, my mum's friend got though. Nice little treat. Hot chocolate was great!

Nice little cafe in the gardens, perfect place for a snack, coffee, or ice cream before exploring the rest of the esplanade area.

The food is seriously good – overall the setting and the food make this a pretty good visit. But, fair warning, if you're planning to drop by when the sun's shining and everyone's got the same idea, be ready to queue up. The lines can get pretty darn long. Service? Well, it's a bit of a mixed bag. When they're not swamped, quick service. They'll sort you out with a friendly attitude. When it's packed, though, things can slow down. That's just how it is, right? But hey, the service is always friendly, so no major complaints there.
