Crab N Spice - Palmdale

This restaurant is a great option if you prefer to stay within the area instead of heading to San Pedro or further out. The food is tasty and while it’s slightly less expensive than Pier 88, it still offers top-notch quality. The service is decent, but I'm still puzzled by the bill being presented before you dine. Overall, it's a solid choice.

Typically, in my reviews, I like to point out the good, the bad, and the ugly. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this seafood restaurant was all bad. I ordered the captain's choice, and the shrimp were not deveined. The snow crabs tasted old and overcooked; every time I cracked open the shell, the meat was tough. The lobster was also overcooked. The only sides were a corn on the cob and a potato. We opted for medium spices, but it ended up being quite mild. Considering the cost, I expected much more, especially when it comes to seafood. I certainly won't be returning anytime soon.

We visited this restaurant twice, opting for the garlic butter dish both times since I prefer non-spicy meals. The first visit was fantastic, but during our second visit, I found it to be incredibly spicy when I got home to eat it. We called the restaurant to express our concerns, especially since it was a rather expensive meal that I couldn’t finish. They acknowledged that sometimes the spices from different dishes can mix but noted there was nothing they could do about it. Overall, it seemed like a waste of both customer service and money. I would recommend spending your money at a different establishment.

The house spice mix is my favorite I had, but the price is much higher than any other place I have been in California.

OMG! This place is so, so good. Best seafood place in Palmdale. Had the king crab and the captains dish delicious. Its better to dine in for the freshest food but be advised you have to pay upfront plus an additional 18% on your bill for 6 people or more. It's worth it. Great service, they supply the tools, bibs, gloves, wipes and mints. You will need lots of patience. They get busy. Again it is worth the wait. Best clam chowder soup yummo
