Gran Cafe Antica Roma

This is definately one of the top spots on Santa Ponsa. Lovely italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere and a very large terrace. We went for lunchtime and the food was excellent. The italian owner and chief-cook is a funny and friendly guy, and his waitresses are very lovely. The pizza and the pasta were very delightful. The wine choice was excellent. Top recommandation!

If you have one night only in Santa Ponsa dine here The Gran Café Antica Roma has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Ponsa. It is situated in he main Jamie 1 Street opposite the Pirate Hotel. The place seems to improve with every visit. And for me, Gran Café Antica Roma edged into top place as my number 1 restaurant in Santa Ponsa. We dined there several times during the World Cup football. We had arranged “ringside table” on their large terrace in front of the TV which they put up specially for the week. . We have always enjoyed our dinners at this restaurant. Meat, Fish or Pastas are all beautifully prepared My winning menu was Beef Carpaccio followed by the finest filet steak I have ever tasted and their chocolate soufflé to finish. €90 Euros for 2.

Gran Café Antico Roma in Santa Ponsa never disappoints. Service is reliable and the food is excellent. Roma has been run by the same reliable team who started as Lucente from a side Street in Santa Ponsa to now being in one of the best positions along the main Jamie 1. They really know how to present good food at a reasonable price. Gran Café Roma is one of our “must visit” restaurants in Santa Ponsa, one of the better Italian restaurants.

This is possibly one of the best modestly priced Italian restaurants on the Island. Recommend the Tempura Prawn with stir fried vegetables as a starter Great Calves Liver, Grills, Pastas and Salads but just make sure you save room for their chocolate souffle. Best to book
