Eight4Nine - Palm Springs

Ordered: peach ginger fizz, blueberry mockjito, cauliflower steak and greens from the garden They have outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor seemed nice, they have heaters and a firewall but it is November and I wanted to make sure my partner was comfortable so we sat inside. The chairs in the room we were in were heavy and made a loud dragging sound when pulled out. The staff was friendly and attentive. The mocktails came out first and my partner and I switched because we both liked the other’s better, but both were nice, peach ginger fizz was sweeter and the blueberry mockjito was more tart. The “greens from the garden” salad was nice and the ingredients were fresh and crisp, there were sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds which were not listed on the ingredients but added a great flavor contrast to the vinaigrette. If you’ve had a cauliflower steak then you know how they taste and these were cooked nicely, the walnut capper salsa added proper flavor and texture to the whole dish while the curried cauliflower purée beneath was more subtle. The restaurant gets 3 stars because they only have 2 vegan options. I recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to take somebody who isn’t vegan. Came here for my partner’s birthday and it was bizarre because of the 6 other groups in the room we were dining in, 5 other tables had birthdays as well, so every time they came out with a birthday treat and firework candle, I thought it was for our table

This place had an awesome outdoor space. Food was delicious and everyone in the party enjoyed their various alcoholic beverages. Three stars because they only have 2 vegan options, the greens from the garden salad and cauliflower steak, I had both and they were great!

We went to 849 primarily to get martinis....just a warning that they are STRONG! The drinks are $4 cheaper in the Lounge than in the actual restaurant. We actually preferred the Lounge as the vibe is more casual and the service was great. The only food we ordered was the Edamame Avocado Hummus Naan which had some unique flavors. It was small for the price, though.

Had the cauliflower steak which was marked vegan and gluten-free. It was okay. Undercooked. Menu is clearly labeled

My whisky mad and bocatini were fabulous. my man had a second whiskysaurier that didn't taste like the first. his lobster parpadelle was dry. our limette cake was delicious. charlene, our waitress has done a great job. they took the second drink of my man on the bill.
