Castañedas Mexican Food - Palm Springs

I ordered the chicken taco plate, and it was excellent. The service was quick and friendly!

I decided to return and report the incident, so I went inside to speak to them directly. On my way, I noticed a rat scurrying along the wall outside the building. I had initially paid with a card, but they processed my refund in cash. The cashier apologized, but the cook, a man, did not acknowledge the situation at all. The cashier offered to remake my food or provide me with a drink, but I declined both offers. I made it clear that if someone had swallowed the metal in my food, it could have been life-threatening. Given this experience, I will not be returning to Casteneda's, and I will be advising my friends and family to avoid this restaurant as well.

Who says ground beef takes a long time to prepare? It only takes 5 minutes! First, I tried to order from them through Uber, but for some reason, Uber couldn't complete the order. So, I decided to drive 5 miles to place the order in person, only to find out that they couldn't make it. I will never order from them again. This experience was terrible, and it's clear they don't value their customers.

There was a mix-up with my order and they went way above and beyond to complete my order and we're extremely friendly.

Dated restaurant, could use a face-lift and some sprucing up inside. The staff is probably one of the cooler staff, working all hours of the day and night. Popular 24 hr. fast food joint downtown PS is packed during the later hours....nothing else open. The food is alright. It's better if you have had some alcohol. But hey, we're lucky to have it!???
