Fisherman's Landing - Palm Desert

Eating was not very good. ordered a shrimp cocktail for our children and was served in cocktail sauce. they took it back when we asked without cocktail sauce and washed the garnels from a reserved one. still had cocktail sauce on them. the children also ordered to share the datei mignon. the facts were very well done. to prepare a second filet that was not even a filet. looks like a piece of sirloin. they removed it from our bill, but the second steak was not even edible. was mostly fat and bristled. their famous tacos we were told would be served with a hauch of their special white sauce, swimming in white sauce. the restaurant was also not great at food allergies. with distance our worst culinary experience in palm desert.

Not the fine restaurant years ago. the waiter made my drink wrong and my filled sole was muddy and tasteless.

The ambiente is wonderful as they would expect from a jw marriott. the restaurant is easy to reach even if they do not stay in the resort

Disappointing at best. Our server was great, but we were annoyed that the main course was delivered when we had just started our salads. Our server had them redo the dishes which was nice. The food was average the portions were large, but not really that good. The salads were bland, with raw, fatty bacon in the Iceberg wedge. The fish was overcooked, and not great. The crab cake appetizer was excellent. We ordered a couple of martini’s and were surprised that there was an additional fee for having them up instead of on ice. Never seen that before. Very expensive for a meal that we could have had at Red Lobster for a lot less.

We had heard the food was great but the service left something to be desired. We dined there twice this past week because of the food and atmosphere. 1st day the manager was aggravated we made a reservation and then barked at us that there were no outside tables. Mind you we had a restaurant owner and his wife with us and ordered a great deal of food, apps and wine. The food redeemed us and the server was good. We had an excellent poke oysters for apps. Everyone’s salads were huge this time and the group all really enjoyed their meals. This last time we went, they couldn’t find our res and we had a tough time ordering, getting our food and drinks right, and one of my fiends had gone to the bar to make sure her **** Mary was right. It came out incorrect after all that. The food was still excellent although my Crab Louie salad was half the size from the previous visit. We would still go back but they need to improve the service levels overall.
