Checkers - Palm Coast

I waited in the drive-thru for 8 minutes before I could place my order, and there was only one car ahead of us at the speaker. After ordering, we waited another 7 minutes and only saw three cars move. There were just two cars in front of us at the window, but we had to leave for our vet appointment. It was evident that there weren’t enough staff working inside. I can only hope that's why there were such delays. I was really craving a burger today, but it seems it just wasn’t meant to be.

We were in the mood for burgers, so we stopped by the drive-thru. The cashier, Alexandra, was amazing. She greeted us warmly and was very polite, and you could even sense her smile through the speaker. The food was tasty; my only complaint was that the fries were a bit saltier than I like. Nevertheless, we will absolutely return, largely due to the outstanding service we experienced. I wish more people had such a positive attitude at work; whatever she's paid, it should be more!

I ordered the Big Buford, and unfortunately, it was the worst burger I've ever had. It lacked flavor and was excessively greasy. I'm quite disappointed, especially since it was my first visit to Checkers. I'm not sure if this issue is specific to this location or if it's a reflection of Checkers' food overall. I might try another location before completely writing them off.

After posting my first review, the owner of Checkers reached out to me and invited me to give them another chance. I accepted the invitation and returned last night. I'm happy to report that this visit was exceptional! The food was fresh and delicious, the service was quick, and the staff were friendly and upbeat. I left feeling very satisfied with my favorite fast food. I'm grateful to have a Checkers in the Palm Coast area. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend that you do! In my opinion, Checkers surpasses any other fast food restaurant nearby.

The staff at this restaurant are amazing, but it appears that the corporate management isn't supplying enough resources, which has led to shortages of certain items, such as chip sizes and food. I understand that many restaurants are encountering similar issues these days, so I'm willing to be forgiving in light of the circumstances. Other than that, the fast food is tasty, the prices are fair, and the team is very welcoming. They also have some distinctive menu offerings, like sweet fries and fruit slushies, which definitely make this place stand out for me.
