Cotton Patch Cafe - Palestine

My food arrived, and it was completely unappetizing. The mashed potatoes were so dry that they could practically stand up by themselves. While the appetizers were served hot, my main dish sat in the window for at least five minutes, becoming cold. I've tried to give this restaurant multiple chances, but this will be the last time.

I would recommend steering clear of this restaurant if you’re looking for prompt service. I went in, was seated, and waited for 15 minutes without receiving any water before deciding to leave.

The food was quite enjoyable. I had anticipated a cozy café atmosphere, so I was taken aback to find it was actually a modern restaurant. The place was clean and pleasant, just not what I had in mind.

Waiter was courteous however it took almost 40 minutes to get food. When it came out it was cold, not even room temperature. My side was delayed as they were making it fresh. After we sent the food back, it was another 20 minutes. They put my side on the plate and again it was cold, refrigerator cold. It tasted like they had scooped out of the fridge. Was one of the worst meals in a while. This is my last try with this Cotten Patch. They really need to improve their cook staff.

It was honestly very bad. I usually don't make bad reviews but going here was so bad. Us and another table had the same experience. Our hostess looked like she was exhausted, she was also doing tables. We had maybe 3 different waitresses, got a round of drinks, got our orders in and about 1 hour later we got our food. They literally took my chicken and dumplings back because there was a layer of hardened gravy on it; I didn't get it immediately even though they had it, I think they just mixed it up and gave it back to me. I also didn't get my sides. Another person in my party ordered a medium steak with mashed potatoes and the steak was hard, dry, and fully cooked and the mashed potatoes with a white gravy was hard and the gravy had solidified (like the dumplings, they probably were sitting out). We were honestly worried about eating it and after hearing the other table complain about their food we talked to the manager and they took care of it and we left. Then a bunch of people at the front door said thanks and come back, but I had no clue who they were. Customers? Owners? It was just a bad experience. I really don't recommend it.
