Prezzemolo Vitale - PALERMO

This was listed as a supermarket. It is in fact, a wonderful deli, laden with beautiful, fresh fruit and vegetables. And such a variety of hams and charcuterie and cheese, that it is the fulfilment of a foodies fantasy. Despite the language gap, the personal were patient and took a lot of effort to describe the different wares, give me tastes, and offer suggestions. The owner/manager even helped me pick a wine. Maurizio went especially out of his way too and was charming and helpful. And everything I bought was absolutely delicious. The mortadella and the spicey salami are a must! There are also branches in London, so guess where I am headed! Thank you one and all for making my shops here so pleasurable and tantalizing my tastebuds.

Encountered this upmarket grocery store when strolling into the old town. This store had a range of products, including international (Sushi, Mexican seasoning etc). Some of the staff could speak English and were accommodating in showing us where to find products. Both the meats looked fresh from the butcher and the fruit looked high quality. They close at 8:30pm every night but Sunday (2pm).

After we went to our yummy pasta place we wanted to take a great bottle or red to our hotel. We certainly managed to find a very good one. The variety of beers were amazing. You certainly could have ordered some nice Foccaccia.... however we did not this time. But we will be back.

This is not just a fabulous cafe but a great supermarket. Lets start with the cafe, everything is fresh the freshly cooked bread is filled with whatever you want from the deli counter sliced specially for your sandwich! The quality is superb, There is also a selection of Arancini, cakes, cannoli . The coffee is excellent there is a very clean seating area and the staff are very friendly and helpful.Great value for money. The supermarket is also first class and is a great place to buy foods to take home the extra virgin olive oil we brought was half the price of the airport duty free.
