La Capannaccia - PALAU

Really nice restaurant on the main road outside Porto Pollo. We sat outside on the front terrace didn’t realise how big this place was until we went inside to pay the bill. Really quick and friendly service, menu understandable, food fresh and tasted delicious. I definitely don’t understand why Sardinians serve their grilled vegetables cold though, what is that all about?!

We stopped for lunch and it was delicious. The Grilled vegetables were tasty and fresh and grilled to perfection and my friend’s tartare was perfect. After I had a very nice rucola pesto with walnuts and they made it for me without the squid because I’m vegetarian and my friend had an excellent fish. The complimentary focaccia was delicious and made us want to come back for a proper pizza. Good value and quality. Recommended if in the area.

We stumbled upon this place as we drove along on a baking hot day, we could park here easily unlike in Palau nearby. There was only us and one other family in the restaurant, so we had their full attention. We all had different pasta and all were amongst the best meals for our week in Sardinia. I also had a good crème caramel. The meal was the highlight of this daytrip.Thanks

Been here after few years and to be honest the quality drop. Service I really friendly especially the lady with many tattoo she was really helpful . Food so so, ok I you go for pizza an frittura. Crema catalana to forget, sea bream a bit old spaghetti with clams too salty.

We arrived at 8.30pm and at 11pm we were still waiting for our main courses to arrive. When we decided to give up and asked for the bill the waitress did not even bother to apologise.
