L&l Hawaiian Barbecue - Pahoa CDP

I eat here/do take out from here a lot since they opened. Today service was weird. The counter girl kept leaving the cash register area to go to kitchen window and to go in back to complain loudly to the cooking chefs about management of L&L Pahoa/Coco Cantina about giving her so many hours, weekend hours,etc. My food was waiting while she gripped and took a subsequent phone call order. I suspect management was on top of it because a chef- dressed in a coco cantina jacket came in, went in back a moment, came up front and took two gateraide and left. The previous girls that worked the counter were super pleasant. I don't get it: if someone doesn't want to work and gripes under your roof about you, why don't you find someone who wants to work? Plenty of people are looking for jobs. My locomoco was fine as usual. I would rather be greeted with hi and thanked with a thank you then have to listen to that rant when eating. I took my food to eat elsewhere.

Wonderfully delicious foods! Love the abundant flavor and the juiciness eat plate had. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

Good local style fast food. By far the cleanest L&L I have ever been to.

No.bathroom, which would be understandable if it's take out but the gal at the front then told us they don't even have a bathroom for themselves. Seriously? That's an OSHA violation. We ordered but then canceled and left, we couldn't find there.I hope the employee was not being truthful on the bathroom for the places sake, but fyi? Don't lie about it, it made your place look barbaric.

The worst hamburger steak plate. No gravy on Pattie’s only on rice with hardly no gravy. I have never been disappointed with Honolulu or Kailua, Oahu. Great gravy on Pattie’s and rice. You can taste the delicious gravy. Don’t order the plate the mini has much gravy but I was hungry so went for the gusto. Never again will I go there. This is my favorite on Oahu.
