But we came across this restaurant, pretty much in the centre of Padua, and decided it would have to do – some of the more appealing, adjacent restaurants were obviously about to close for the afternoon. The service was reasonably prompt and efficient, and the primi pasta was fine. This is a perfectly OK place to visit if you’re in the piazza, but is nothing out of the ordinary. If we were in the area again, we would probably look to find somewhere a little more interesting. But, since we were running a bit low on cash, it was at least good that they took credit cards.
We went to this restaurant and had a lovely ice cream coupe sitting relax and watching all the other tourist hurrying around. Waiter was very friendly and not pushy at all.
I see the poor old BA has some very dodgy reviews for its food, but it's a great place to sit outside in the warm weathers and enjoy people watching to the mood music of an Aperol Spritz. I found the service unusually attentive for this type of place, where it is often difficult to attract the waiter's attention!
Good seating in a popular square in the historic centre of Padua, good service, nice ambience and economical prices. Good vino della casa too.
Good and simple meals. Excellent lasagna and risotto. As desert the range is limited, but crema catalana is very good. Excellent value for money.
