L'Auberge du Gouffre de Padirac

Service average, coffee average, medium cost, reasonably clean. No smoking. What you would expect in a popular place in the peak season.

The waiter seemed in a hurry, and not too much worries with the service level... somehow the ice was fine!

Came to grab a quick bite one we had left the caves. Friendly enough staff, but the croque arrived virtually uncooked, and rather than tell us they could serve my wife, just didn't bother bringing food. Coffee was ok, I suppose,but go somewhere else to...eat.

After finishing our tour of the cave, we were starving. Rather than wait, we decided to just eat as soon as possible. This restaurant is just outside the cave entrance and we didn't really expect much from a busy tourist site. We were very pleasantly...surprised by how much we enjoyed the food. Also, the staff were extremely nice. Definitely recommend this place.

I'm always wary of restaurants with a captive audience but this one as turned out to be surprisingly good. The staff were super friendly and attentive without being over the top. The menu is simple but the food is all home prepared and cooked to...order. I had the plat du jour which was a freshly breaded trout fillet in a corn bread bun with green salad it was delicious!
