There were only six to eight healthy options on the menu. I enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich, but my mom had the fish and chips, which were a bit tough, bland, and overly greasy. I tried some of her fries, and while they're decent, they're not outstanding. It will be a long time before I consider returning to Red Robin.
I would rate the food and service here at around 4 stars. A note for delivery drivers: This location operates as a ghost kitchen or virtual restaurant under the names Chicken Sammy's, Mr. Beast Burger, Fresh Set, or The Wing Dept on Uber Eats. There are no signs indicating these brands, so just walk in and speak to the staff as you normally would. They are generally friendly towards riders, and the bathrooms are quite nice. However, be prepared for potentially long wait times at times.
Red Robin is really on the decline. A few days ago, I visited for lunch around noon, and it was quite underwhelming. After a long wait, we were finally able to place our orders. The cups and menus were both in terrible condition, which didn't start things off on a positive note. Unfortunately, my burger was a disappointment; it resembled something from a fast food joint, but at a much higher price. We also ordered a side of wings, only to realize they were frozen. How did we discover this? The middle of the wings was still frozen. In total, we spent $70 for two burgers, frozen wings, two sodas, and a less-than-attentive waitress. I should have taken the almost empty restaurant at lunchtime as a sign to go elsewhere.
Red Robin was always great, but today I am disappointed with how the servers are either not aware or are not transparent when it comes to customers with Visa gift cards. The server told me the balance on my $100 gift card was less than what I understand to be it. I knew that the balance was bigger because I only used it twice a day and remembered the exact amounts I used it for. I questioned this and was repeatedly told that the balance was less. I also had to pay the difference with my debit card. After reviewing the transaction history of the gift card, I could confirm that they have actually taken over the balance from my card and that I was right that the balance was greater. What they hadn't mentioned was that they factored with my Visa gift card with 20% of the bill in Gratity. I just found out they're factoring in bliss when I brought the problem to the manager. Why did your servers not explain this to the customers who are aware of when the situation occurs? This would help to prevent a lot of confusion. Luckily, I knew what my remaining balance was on my gift card, so I didn't pay for it. It was definitely not a pleasant experience today. It was a little headache.
Attempted to get a table here one evening. We waited at the hostess stand before anyone came over for about 3 minutes. A young man came over to put food on the rack for a to go order and wasn't even greeted so we asked if there was anyone to seat us. He hesitantly found us a table in a near empty building. The table we were seated at was clearly not cleaned well; fries all over the floor, wet table and napkins on the seats. We sat waiting for about 5min at the table and no server came by to take an order or greet us. At this point we decided maybe the bar would be a better option so we moved. At the bar a bartender did greet us and even took a drink order! But again we waited, this time for nearly 10 min. After watching everyone else receive service and we couldn't even get a water we left. I understand being understaffed is an issue but at least communicate and bring a water while we wait. Oh well.
