Red Knapps American Grill - Oxford

The bread at this restaurant is fantastic, especially with the garlic cream cheese paste. The parking lot can be a bit challenging to enter, as the driveway is near a busy traffic light. The service for dinner is excellent, with a rating of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere is decent, with a rating of 3 out of 5. Recommended dishes include the Bacon Pepperoni Pizza, Bread Basket, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Fresh Baked Bread. Finding parking can be somewhat difficult, but there is free parking available in the parking lot.

We decided to leave the restaurant due to the rude and unfriendly attitude of our waitress. When I asked about the drink options, the waitress gave a dismissive response. We only ordered a coffee and a water but the table next to us, with four young men, received faster service. We went to the bar to pay for the coffee we didn't drink as our waitress was nowhere to be found. The bartender yelled at us when we tried to clarify the order, eventually comping the coffee. This was the worst service we have experienced in Oxford. We recommend going to 24th Street Tavern across the street for better service and food. Our previous experience at the restaurant was also poor, with another waitress rushing us to pay before she left early. We urge the owner to retrain their staff for better customer service. Thank you for the apology, but the service and atmosphere were both rated a 1.

There have been significant improvements at this restaurant recently. The comfort food is quite good. We dined in for dinner and found the price per person to be between $10-20. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 4 out of 5.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. They have a wonderful atmosphere and are located in downtown Oxford. The staff was good, and I loved the burger I had. Very unique bun/bread and it was very tasty. Our family had several different entrees and they were all excellent. I recommend this restaurant. The new York strip is one of the best I've had. Cooked perfectly seasoned well. The bread that comes with it is really good and so are the vegetables (green beans). Someone in our group ordered the cheese pizza and she said it's normally really good but it was a little overcooked when we went. Service wasn't the best and wasn't the worst.
