The Plough At 38 - Oxford

The perfect spot for a Sunday roast! The pork belly was absolutely divine, with skin that was perfectly crispy. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. After spending 6 hours in the cold traveling from London to Oxford, they provided us with much-needed blankets to keep us warm and cozy, which truly made a difference. Excellent service! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The drinks arrived promptly, and although the fish and chips took a bit longer to prepare, they were definitely worth the wait. The chips were perhaps the thickest and crispiest I've ever had. It was clear they were freshly made, not just reheated like at some other places. The fish, while a tad oily, was delicious and cooked to perfection. The tartar sauce could use a little less salt, but overall, the entire experience was fantastic! I can't wait to return.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant with its great atmosphere and friendly staff. We only stopped by for drinks, and our group was extremely pleased with the bar manager, Pasquale! His attitude and expertise exceeded our expectations. The cocktails he prepared were outstanding—I'd highly recommend trying the Old Fashioned!

Amazing evening experience. From the moment we went, until the moment we went, we were spectacularly hosted. The attention to detail was to be seen everywhere. The service was personal and professional and not overlaid. The food really made the evening together. There is clearly someone out of the back who loves to put their personality on a plate. Visiting Oxford for a holiday. Wandering through the town we spotted this bar and decided to stop for some refreshment. We were promptly seated and presently served. The server was fantastic, offering a friendly, professional and courteous manner. The drinks and food arrived as ordered, despite us both having let's say particular requirements.
