Solomans Grill - Oxford

My friends and I, all students, love going to Solomons after a night out. The staff is always cheerful and the prices are some of the best in Oxford. Even though I've only been here for one term, they already know my usual order (a hot dog with ketchup) so well that I don't even need to tell them anymore - they just start making it as soon as I arrive! Solomons is the best part of my evening, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's had a rough night at Atik.

I was really excited to get a kebab from this restaurant, as I had one the other day and it was delicious. I was so eager that I even sang a song about it while waiting in line. When I finally got home and opened up my kebab, I took a bite and discovered a black hair in it. I tried to brush it off as a mistake, but as I continued eating, I found a total of six hairs in my food. I was extremely put off and disappointed by this experience.

The cheese was literally decaying. It is concerning that they would serve this to customers without hesitation, as it poses a health risk.

Solomans is a part of the Oxford nightlife, without a doubt. I can't count the amount of times I've been greeted by name (Soloman's ability to remember his clientele's names and usual orders still astounds me) at 2am after stumbling back from Park End like the trash I am. His lamb doner with garlic is the closest humanity will get to divine ambrosia, and its healing powers make one genuinely question whether one has indeed died and gone to heaven. Without Solomans, the entire North Oxford student community would surely be brought to a slow, miserable collapse.

Great food, good price, nice guys. Wish I discovered this place sooner! Convenient location. Highly recommended.
