Mortons - Oxford

We had 20 minutes before our walking tour began and needed somewhere that we could buy a quick snack from. We happened upon Mortons and the choice of lovely looking baguettes in the window convinced us to try the café. I had the Brie Red Onion Marmalade baguette which was delicious as well as the Rocky Road. The server was very friendly, would come back.

Found this by chance on teh Broad, good selection of baguettes, recommend the blackened cajun chicken. Hot/cold drinks and a lovely shady garden area at the back. Great place to stop for a break, prices are good too.

Rude staff, reheated milk in my cappuccino which was almost completely milk I ordered regular as anything else is too milky for me). Neither of us finished our drinks, I only had 2 sips of mine.

I noticed this sandwich shop while I was walking towards the tourist information office. Their selection was amazing and the prices were hands down reasonable. I was quite surprised to find a place with the right combination of price and taste for a quick lunch. We tried a vegetarian sandwich and one with blackened chicken with cajun sauce. Both were delicious and the bread was crusty and soft. Excellent place for a quick lunch on the go.

So sad to see New Inn Hall St closed but ok in Broad St but no fire. Staff still friendly and welcoming
