George Davis - Oxford

I was on my way to another spot for a quick bite for lunch, another place highly reviewed on this very site, when I stumbled across the legendary G&D 's and thought, Well, clearly my plans have changed. I 'm really glad they did. G&D 's is a legendary eatery in Oxford, best known for their in-house ice cream, made just downstairs. I had a robust bagel with healthful things and chased it with two scoops of outstanding ice cream...and really, the bagel was good enough on its own to warrant the trip! Service is fast and friendly, and the price is great, considering the location.

The ice cream here was delicious, with massive portions of the unusually named and flavoured ice creams.. highly recommended!

Friendly staff, nice to see this place still going and long may it continue. It's nice to visit an ice cream palour that is not a nationwide chain.

Visited today for an ice cream with my family. The ice cream was great but we must have waited over 40mins to be served. It’s half term, the sunniest week so far this year and there is only one person serving in the shop. We saw so many people leave the queue. Disappointed. You really need to employ more staff.
