Contribuiți la feedbackWas excited to try this vegan cafe attached to an exhibit in Oxford Natural History Museum about meat consumption and the future of our planet. Unfortunately it turned out to be one of the worst cafe experiences I have ever had. We ordered a sandwich, vegan quiche and salad, two soy cappuccinos and a croissant. The sandwich was so stale we couldn’t eat it, the croissant was so hard even my three year old said it was too dry and refused to eat it, and the quiche was soggy, cold and tasteless, not to mention the salad which was huge chunks of veg in a tasteless dressing. The coffees had about three quarters of the cup full of cold froth and a bit of bitter coffee in the bottom. We finished absolutely nothing we ordered and it cost us over £35. If the food wasn’t enough to put us off, the standard of food hygiene of the staff finished us off. The guy was wearing a big winter coat as if he was a customer just rocked up for a drink, using his bare hands to swap between using his phone and throw pieces of quiche onto the plates. The lady had her hair down, kept touching her hair and face with her hands and then serving bare handed, no hand washing in site from either of them. To top it off they were both eating, talking with their mouths full over the open bowls of food and generally seemed to have absolutely no care for food service and hygiene whatsoever. The guy put a hot cup of coffee down in front of my three year old which is dangerous in itself. We walked away hungry, disappointed and confused. Surely a cafe meant to promote plant based diets would make an effort to be good. Total waste of money.
It was thrilled to try this vegan caffe, which was attached to an exhibition at the oxford natural history museum about meat consumption and the future of our planet. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst café experiences I've ever had. we ordered a sandwich, vegan quiche and salad, two soy cappuccinos and a croissant. the sandwich was so stale that we could not eat it, the croissant was so hard, even my three years old said it was too dry and refused to eat it, and the quiche was so tender, cold and tasteless, not to mention the salat, the great pieces veg in a tasteless dressing. the coffee had about three quarters of the cup full cold frit and a bit bitter coffee in the floor. we have ordered absolutely nothing, and it cost us over £35. If that was not enough to sell us, the standard of the food hygiene of the personal ended. the type wore a big winter coat, as if he was a customer who was just rocked for a drink, with his bare hands to float between his phone and throw pieces of quiche on the teller. the lady had her hair down, touched her hair and face with her hands and then served mere hand, no hand wash in front of the two. in order to round it, they both eat, talked with their mouth full about the open dishes of the food and seemed in the absolutely no care for food service and hygiene at all. the guy put a hot cup of coffee in front of my three-year-old who is per se dangerous. we went hungry, disappointed and confused. surely a caffe to promote herbal diets would make an effort to be good. total waste of money.
I decided to give this restaurant a try despite reading a negative review, and I must say, I completely disagree now. The lunch was very nice and delicious! Additionally, it was quite affordable for two people. #Veganuary.
I recently dined at the cafe located in the National History Museum. Unfortunately, the sandwiches were already sold out before 1 o'clock, but they still had a selection of beautiful salads, vegan fritata, and goat cheese quiche available. My party decided to order a salad and the fritata. The salad was delicious, while the fritata was a bit dry but still flavorful. I was pleased to find that they did not charge extra for vegetable milk in my coffee, although they had run out of coconut milk during my visit.
I was excited to visit this vegan café attached to an exhibition at the Oxford Natural History Museum focusing on meat consumption and the future of our planet. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the worst café experiences I've ever had. We ordered a sandwich, vegan quiche, salad, two soy cappuccinos, and a croissant. The sandwich was stale, the croissant was hard, and the quiche was cold and tasteless. The salad had bland dressing and the coffees were mostly cold froth with bitter coffee at the bottom. The total cost was over £35 for unsatisfactory food. In addition to the poor quality of the food, the hygiene standards of the staff were concerning. The guy preparing the food wore a winter coat, handled food with his bare hands and used his phone without washing his hands. The lady had her hair down and touched her face before serving food without washing her hands. They also ate and talked with their mouths full near open dishes of food. The guy even placed a hot cup of coffee in front of my young child, which was dangerous. Overall, we left hungry, disappointed, and confused. It was a total waste of money and certainly not a café that promotes healthy eating.
