The Classic Catering People

I was planning a class reunion in Baltimore from out of state and needed a vendor who was responsive, reliable, and who could offer solid vegan/vegetarian options. And who could also accept a not-small order with little advance (obviously wouldn’t recommend putting any vendor in this position, but was so relieved they could accommodate). Greg, Katelyn, and the entire team were everything you could hope for and more.Greg blew me away with his responsiveness and flexibility, Katelyn made day-of seamless, and the food was bomb. For many companies, vegan veg options seem to be an afterthought. These were well labeled and integrated into CCP’s menus. All attendees were impressed. Cannot recommend these folks enough. True pros!

The Classic Catering People (Classic) is an incredibly professional and capable catering company. Liv S. was our primary contact throughout planning, and she was wonderful to work with. She was helpful and informed, and effectively facilitated our interactions with the linens provider. She also picked up our account midway through planning, and was able to smooth out all details, and honor verbal promises that her predecessor made. Liv’s experience helped our overall wedding come together smoothly; she was familiar with how Peabody weddings typically go and knew how vendors filled in various responsibilities. Every question that we had, Liv either knew the answer or found it for us within 24 hours. When our wedding coordinator had a major last minute change, Liv’s familiarity with the many moving parts helped for a seamless transition.As for the event itself, Classic staff was attentive and responsive to our guests' needs. Multiple guests came to us to compliment not only the quality of food, but also the classy service. One of our guests, a former restaurant owner, made a point to comment on the caterers' efficiency of operation. Many of our guests could not stop talking about the food, with several shout outs to the braised short ribs and the Icelandic cod. Classic graciously accommodated our request to change the first course from a salad to a half salad/half soup. This ended up as a smashing hit with our guests; the crab bisque tasted amazing.Bottomline you can't go wrong choosing The Classic Catering People and Liv for your wedding, especially if your venue is the Peabody library. We highly recommend!

The Classic Catering People, by way of Bobby Pressman, Dae Miller and the rest of their staff, went above and beyond to make sure our law firm's 35th anniversary party was a huge success. Throughout the planning process, they made sure we had everything we needed, including adjusting food to specific dietary restrictions and handling all of the rentals and décor. There have been rave reviews about the food/drink/décor/service. They even thought of things, such as ordering a coat rack for our guests, that I had not. I could not have done it without them. I unequivocally recommend Classic for any/all of your catering and event needs.

We had a FABULOUS time with The Classic Catering People at our cooking class! Lisa and Chef Terese were knowledgeable and fun! The meal was delicious and we had plenty to take home too!

If you want great service, phenomenal food and knowledgeable caterers this is who you pick! I recently used Classic Catering People for my wedding at The George Peabody Library and I could not be happier with my selection. Lynn P. was our coordinator and she was incredibly knowledgeable. You can just tell she knows what she 's doing. She understands the best ways to work in a historic space with regulations.Some of the feedback that we received about our food was This is the best wedding food I 've ever had and I 'm OLD. The tenderloin literally melted in my mouth. I never get chicken at a wedding, but I 'm so glad I did because it was the best chicken I 've ever had. The servers were kind and attentive and speedy. The bartenders were great! The food was EXCELLENT. My husband and I had our own server for the day so that we made sure we ate and drank as much as we wanted. I am so happy with my choice to go with Classic Catering People. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone that is looking for a caterer. If possible ask for Lynn because she knows how to run a successful event!!
