Rockford Restaurant - Owen Sound

We were told by fellow campers to be sure to visit this restaurant. They serve breakfast all day, and the Schnitzel is wonderful! The food is very tasty, and there's plenty of it! My husband had Eggs Benedict and I had the Lemon Schnitzel. We had leftovers for the following day! It is a very busy place, so try to go off hours, to ensure you don't have to wait for a table.

Stopped by for breakfast on the way from Owen Sound back toToronto. The place was extremely busy with a line up out the door but had quaint atmosphere. The staff was skillfully accommodating the rush at a fast pace. Breakfast and coffee were delicious. And then there was PIE...The flakiest crust, filled with fruity strawberry

Delicious and superb European style food. The schnitzel is WUNDEBAR. I should know. I'm German/Canadian.

We have visited this restaurant a few times now with the same results. Good food and friendly staff. This last time two of our party have Schnitzel and I had the Hot Roast Beef. All were delicious with good portions. Three of us dined with drinks and tip for under $60.00 You can't beat that.

Visited this restaurant for Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast. We were NOT disappointed either time. We overheard another group talking about the homemade burgers so went with them and the homemade fries...DELICIOUS! Breakfast was very hot when served, plentiful and delicious, also. Friendly and efficient staff.Oh, and make sure you don't miss the homemade pies. We were so full but took some to go.Great fresh home cooking!
