The Thirsty Owl Bistro - Ovid

The views of Cayuga Lake are a major selling point. Great location. The food at the bistro was tasty, we had a light fare with the quiche and some fries. The wine here is great. They have an awesome selection of dry and sweet, red or white... Even have a cider, a port and winter wine.

This is a lovely and peaceful spot. We visited during the off-season, so we were able to get a table right away. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and our server Bob was a delight—very knowledgeable about the wines and the winery itself. They have a fantastic selection, and the location is perfect. It’s definitely one of my favorite wineries on Cayuga Lake.

What a charming atmosphere! A beautiful building with a breathtaking view of Cayuga Lake. Wines were well balanced with a variety to fit every taste. Hosts were friendly and very knowledgeable. Would love to visit again.

The wine selection is fantastic, with a wide variety to choose from. Brayden, our host, provided excellent recommendations for wines to take home, both for ourselves and as gifts. Plus, the views are simply breathtaking!!!

Perfect spot for tastings! Wines, view and service were on point. Austin made my experience well worth the drive. He was very personable and had much knowledge of the wine. Will definitely be making the drive back from Buffalo!
