The Otter - Ottertail

Had a great meal for a reasonable price. Don't judge this book by its cover. However lackluster the outside may seem the inside is beautiful and the food is among the best in town.

The lodge is just as described, if not better. Super clean, large room. Great bed, pillows, perfect air conditioning and nice big shower, microwave and small fridge and tv with lots of opinions and I was able to reserve to bring my pet with, very easy. There is an app to check in which seems like a great system, except I didn't see anything stating that my room had physical keys to pick up vs the code that the app kept saying was emailed. After waiting for the email tocome through and figure it out, I ran over to the bar and the bartender was able to look it up quickly and gave me the keys. Ventured down to the supper club/bar for dinner. Great food, and quick service. Music on the patio during theafternoon was great. Overall a great experience, would 100% stay again.

We've only been to the supper club, not the lodge, but it's a delightful place to visit when you're in the Ottertail County area. We've been there several times while visiting friends at nearby lakes over the summer, usually on Friday evenings, which is meat raffle night! It's a fun chance to win a package of steaks, though unfortunately, we didn’t get lucky. Despite that, we've enjoyed wonderful meals and encountered a staff that is attentive, friendly, and very helpful. If you're feeling lucky, you can also try your hand at pull-tabs. When you're up north by the lake and don’t want to cook, let the folks at the Otter take care of you so you can simply enjoy your time.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The cheerful and energetic staff truly elevate the dining experience. I would love to return and have the same team serve me again. The sangria had a delightful kick—so refreshing! The bartender was also a lot of fun.

This restaurant has a lot of personality and some really cool decor. The atmosphere is open and inviting. The margaritas were excellent, and the walleye tacos were fantastic!
