We stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday and found the pub pretty full. That said, we were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken quickly. Draught selection is reasonable and features two local craft beers alongside the usual suspects. We tried the veggie wrap and chicken fingers and found them nicely prepared. Service was friendly and attentive.
This restaurant replaced the former New Edinburgh Pub. The new restaurant is certainly an improvement in the sense that everything was gutted and redone. Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient and the menu offers a nice variety. I find the food expensive, however. I ate a Brie, chicken and cranberry sandwich with pun chips which cost $17. It was tasty but too expensive. A lunch meal which costs over $20 with a Clamato juice is high.
Stayed nearby and visited often, lunch and dinner. Pub food up to scratch and decent menu choice. Great staff, very helpful. Terrace outside a popular spot, with or without the traffic noise. And they will turn down the piped musack if you ask nicely (showing my age). Never got to the newish cocktail lounge upstairs but will try next time.
The food was good, the waitress was a bit distracted, not the friendliest we have encountered in Ottawa. One meal was whisked away a split second after it was put down without explanation. Need to work on customer service.
