The Diner - Ottawa

I’ve been to the Wellington Diner a few times. The food is tasty, the service is great, and the location/atmosphere is relaxed. I really like that they are flexible with their menu. They were very accommodating when we asked to make a couple menu items vegetarian or gluten free.

What a fun and busy place. We asked to sit upstairs and they were very accommodating with it being busy. Our waitress was so fun and engaging. We was super busy but still took the time to tell us about the favourites at the restaurant. The decor is super cool with pop art and vintage looking signs all over. If you like music memorabilia you should check out this place. It’s everywhere! The menu comes in the form of a QR code you scan with your phone. The food was plentiful and above average. One comment I would make if the owner is reading these reviews is the breakfast poutine has too much hollandaise sauce 1/2 the amount with a bit more cheese would have been perfect. All and all would return!

Great spot for quick food in a diner setting. Tons of 80s new wave music, eggs dishes, and milkshake options. Often busy!

Really good portion for the price. I got the steak frites which came with a salad and I also got a milkshake. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking and was seasoned wellThe fries were soft but tasty and well cooked. The milkshake was delicious and was basically like drinking icecream. Overall very filling, quick service, and great food.

The food was good but the prices are on the expensive end for a dinner. For a example a small glass of fruit smoothie (frozen fruits)was $9.00. The atmosphere was relax service was good. Is it worth a try? Yes because the food is good but not good enough for me to drive 27km to get a burger that I can get anywhere else.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp on the for entrance
