Shawarma Palace - Ottawa

We came on a Sunday night and there was a very long line. We were the eleventh party in line, but it was moving along fairly quickly. It took a total of 14 minutes in line before we placed our order, plus 4 minutes to get our food.We ordered take out, but noticed that the ambiance was very nice for those who chose to eat in, in a large, nicely decorated space with cheerful Lebanese music.The portions are the most generous I’ve ever seen in a Shawarma restaurant. The wraps are $10 and the plates are $20.All the staff was exceptionally nice.We ordered both beef and chicken, and preferred the chicken, but both were delicious. They put a lot of sauce in the wraps, so make sure to sit at a table or cover yourself with napkins before you eat!We do recommend and will be back.

I usually order my food from the downtown location but this time I wanted to try the Orleans location. I usually order my good chicken plate and I always ask them to remove the salad and to put it in a different container as my kids won’t eat it. At the downtown location this is not an issue, but at the Orleans location they wanted to charge me 5$ extra. Wooow 5$ for a container that cost 5 cent. You have to be consistant across all of your locations.

Today, I picked up my catering order from Shawarma Palace on Innes road and I felt a review was necessary because of the amazing experience we had. I highly recommend ordering catering for your events. At first, I had an informative phone call to discuss all of my options. The employee was very knowledgeable, patient and mostly she was very kind. When I came to place my order in person, she took the time to show me all the tray options and sizes, which I truly appreciated.When I came to pick-up my order, the owner quickly sent an employee to help me carry all of the food to my car. I felt so well taken care of! I also couldn’t believe how hot the food was (which shows you how fresh it is)! Once I left, I realized the pita bread was forgotten. I quickly called the restaurant and the manager offered to have someone deliver it to my house. I couldn’t of been more appreciative. It is so rare to find restaurant owners care more for their customers than for themselves. I truly thank you for making my experience so pleasurable. The food was so delicious!

My partner and I usually order from here and it was always pretty good but this time we were really disappointed. We used ubereats and when the food arrived, we noticed it was lukewarm, barely enough for two people, and it tasted fairly stale. The quality seems to be going down.
