Royal Oak - Ottawa

I am not a huge fan of the Royal Oak. I am not particularly fond of Irish or English style pubs as there are already too many of them.

The beer at this restaurant is good, but unfortunately the burger patties and buns are clearly frozen and taste generic for the price of $15. However, they do offer a nice selection of beers.

While it may not be the newest or largest Royal Oak in town, nor the most upscale, it is definitely my favorite.

Like all the other Royal Oaks in Ottawa, it's dependable and a solid choice for any group looking for a quick bite or a drink. They often have good deals on certain nights for wings and different beer so make sure you check for that.

Friendly wait staff with specials every night and special events (live music, lobster boils, pig roasts, etc.) advertised now and then. You can't beat the fish & chips on Fridays - very fresh!
