Miso Japanese Restaurant - Ottawa

This was the best sushi place in Ottawa so what happened? Everything was always so fresh and the sushi was honestly made with love. The service was a little slow at times but it was always worth the wait. They were particularly careful with my gluten free requests, warning me of what I could and could not eat, and always providing GF soy sauce. Where did the chefs go? It is closed and I was shocked when went there last week. We will miss you!!!

Il est peut-être bon de manger des sushis à quantité industriel dans certains restaurants mais ils ne seront jamais assez bons que de les manger frais à la carte !Je suis allé essayé ce petit-restaurant sur Bank et Slater proche de mon travail et c'était juste excellent.L'accueil déjà était très amical et plaisant et ce fut le cas tout le long du service. J'ai pris place dans le petit restaurant qui était charmant. J'ai commandé une pizza au sushi, puis des sushis au saumon. Tout était vraiment délicieux et à bon prix. Il y a une offre très alléchante pour le midi à 8.88 $ si vous décidez d'emporter avec vous.

We went in slightly earlier to beat the heavy lunch rush and ordered salmon and scallop sashimi, the unagi donburi, and the chicken teriyaki ramen. While the food itself was great, the sashimi did not come until we had finished out hot meals and we had to remind the staff a couple times. It seemed like the staff were prioritizing those with takeout orders over those sitting in the restaurants, at least on the sushi/sashimi line.

I pick up from this restaurant quite often on my way home from work or grab a bento box with friends at lunch. The quality is amazing and the service exceptional. They are always willing to substitute to accommodate dietary restrictions and tastes. Food is prepared fresh using the best ingredients with utmost care for safety when handling raw fish.

I work close to this location and it's our favourite stop for sushi. The staff here are always so nice and attentive, even during the busy lunch time rush. I've had everything from Bento boxes, to sushi boats to the lunchtime special and more and it's always delicious, fresh and well presented. You won't be disappointed!
