Malone's Lakeside Grill - Ottawa

We ate lunch at a lovely table by the windows, looking out at the beautiful water and different boats docked there. Food was good. I had the baked vegetable wrap which was good. My husband had the baked chicken wrap that he really enjoyed. Come for the view, patio nice as well. The service was friendly and attentive.

Had a great meal at Malone's. Very relaxing, the staff was very friendly. The burgers looked amazing although I didn't have one.We went with family members who could not do the stairs so we used the elevator to get to the patio.We were with people from out of town so they really enjoyed the view of the water and the people canoeing or paddle boating.

Had lunch at Malone's. They have a great outdoor deck with great views of the lake and and a small pier. The deck is well covered with a covered roof on one area and umbrellas for the remaining area. They have a large numbers of window side tables inside the restaurant with excellant views of the lake. Great venue for lunch. The menu offers a good selection. Our sandwiches were very good and were served with fries and a salad. Overall a good meal served at a nice venue.

On a visit to Ottawa, friends met us for dinner at Malones which is a huge restaurant that overlooks a lake - really quite nice. The menu was not exceptional. Service was not highly attentive, albeit still adequate. We visited mid week when the restaurant was not very busy. Conversation was easy but If the place were full, a conversational dinner would be difficult. If you need to talk and hear what your fellow guests are saying, come mid week.

Food was good but over charged. I asked to change the sides from veggies and potatoes and small salad to just a salad with salmon. The waitress went to ask and told me I would be charged three dollars extra. I think this was ridiculous. Furthermore I heard a woman at the next table ask for the same change not extra charge.
