Contribuiți la feedbackA few years ago, I used to come here almost twice a week with my family and friends after hockey. We'd be there for hours. We were a group of 6 minimum each time and there was always room for us. Sam (the owner at the time) would always come to talk with us and one of the waitresses was thrilled to see us every time we came. The food was great, the environment was awesome and the service was perfect. There are so many memories from just going to that place.<br/ <br/ In the last 2 years or so, it changed completely when the new owners came. The food wasn't as good as it used to be, the restaurant just doesn't feel the same anymore. The service is still great though. That one waitress never fails to make us happy. Now don't get me wrong, the food isn't bad but it isn't as good as what it's used to be for myself. <br/ <br/ If I were to write this review when Sam was the owner, it'd be a 5/5. Due to the new owners, I really can't. It isn't as good as it used to be but it's still good.
This rating is literally just regarding their pizza. Actually one of the best spots I've been to in Ottawa, never been dissatisfied with it! Mushroom and pepperoni or ham ... Yum! They don't go skimpy on their sauce and cheese.
I am well acquainted with Cornwall Ontario pizza, making me an authority of the best pizza in the world (Riverside, Northend, Louis, Cornwall BBQ, Olympia and Romas). Lorenzo's on Arch street is the closest thing to it in Ottawa. It is my favorite. I know what Ottawa has to offer with, Gabriel's, Papa Georgios, Willy's, Colonnade, Easy peasy, Milanos, Zazaza pizza. Lorenzo's has the best combination of flavorful cheese, sauce and crust in the city. It should noted that Milanos is my number 2 for its cheese and Colonnade a distant third for its crust. The rest is bush league.
I've tried quite a few pizza places in ottawa in a search with my fiancé for the best ottawa pizza. Lorenzo's is by far the best I've tried. Tonight we decided to give another place a go and I realized just how much better Lorenzo's is. Lorenzo is heavy, thick, amazing pizza.
I would still go here for wing night, or order pizza for pickup or delivery, but it's a shame how much some things have changed here. The all you can eat Thursday nights is no longer worth it at all. Better off buying a za to go.
