Kim Restarant - Ottawa

I am a Chinese food snob. I'm from Toronto, but have lived in Ottawa for a few years. I tried many Chinese restaurants in Ottawa, but none came close to the quality of Toronto Chinese food, until I ate at Full House! It is truly the most authentic, tasty, delicious Chinese food I've had in Ottawa. The restaurant is lovely on the inside. The service is hit or miss.My only issue is that the restaurant does not allow customers to order a small bowl of soup, either in house or for delivery orders. This makes me sad, as I sometimes eat alone and I just want a nice bowl of soup!

We visited here for a late lunch. We all enjoyed the food. The portions are a great size, my soup ( hot and sour ) would have been enough for 3. Great vegetarian choices also.The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Staff friendly.I will visit again.

After seeing an article in an Ottawa newspaper we decided to try this restaurant on a Saturday at noon. It is located in a non-descript building (not the one in the photo at time of writing this review) with ample parking at the back and a cute walkway from the back to the front entryway. The décor is light and welcoming, the restaurant clean and staff courteous and pleasant. With the help from our waitress, we shared several dishes from the non-north American Chinese menu and loved them all. The blend of spices was so different and just the right amount of heat. Observing all the other dishes being brought to other tables, guaranteed we will return very soon.

We were regular attendees at the Singapore, and were desperate for a replacement when it closed. We tried several places, and then decided to give the Full House a try. Great choice. Food was excellent, super atmosphere with a full range of ages in attendance, fast service in spite of it being a full house at the Full House on a Saturday, and our server was top-notch, Definitely a strong recommendation for the Full House, Advice: Make a reservation, this place was busy, busy, busy, but in a good way.

This medium size restaurant is a surprise. It provides a good sampling of various dishes from several Asian countries. The menu also has a list of chef's specials on the last page. Those are genuine non-Cantonese Chinese dishes that may not be to everyone's taste. But for me, this is almost like home cooking at the right price point. It is not your North American Chinses Buffet food. I will be going back just to sample all the dishes. BTW, the Tripadvisor photo for this restaurant is not correct.
