Japanese Village Teppan Steak & Seafood House

I've been going there forever and it's always going to be one of my favorite restaurants. I have never tried something I didn't like. I always have Hibachi shrimp with a side of Calamari teriyaki. The only less pleasant thing is the manager lady who can be pretty abrupt at times.

I've been here quite a few times for lunch with friends. The service is always very fast. Although the meal is a tad pricey, I always leave completely stuffed. I love the chicken teriyaki as well as the beef with shrimp (surf turf). Each meal comes with a salad, rice, meat and veggies. You are seated around a grill and watch your chef make your meal right in front of you. Once your food is grilled up, the chef puts heaping portions of steamy goodness right on your plate.

Dinner and a Show!. Delicious Japanese food cooked right in front of you. Great for bigger groups or even couples. If you get a table with some cool people at it, you can make some new friends! Great date spot, definitely worth checking out especially if you want to wow your guests!

Awesome Hibachi Place. When I want to treat myself, I come here. The food is always good. Sometimes, the service is mediocre, but it's easily overlooked. It's somewhat expensive, but totally worth it ! I recommend the squid.

I love this place because the food is great. I wish the decor was nicer, it's definitely needing a reno but service is excellent, good entertainment value and as mentioned, delicious. It's a hidden gem in the basement of an office building with little signage but it's been in Ottawa for many many years and for good reason.
