Boy Barrhaven location has taken a dive on portions. Spent over $175 for two for Luke warm app, burger with barely any fries; Irish stew, few drinks, and a chocolate dessert that was so tiny for $12 it was a joke. Sign of the times I guess but will take my business elsewhere next time unfortunately.

Unless you like overpaying for small portion sizes, avoid this place.My friend wanted to try this place so a group of us made our way down. The menu looked good, a bit loud, but it 's an Irish pub, so what did I expect. I ordered the Seafood chowder at $20 (a proper main they called it) and my dad got the chowder on the side of his sandwhich for $5. When the food arrived, his side and my main looked nearly identical in size, certainly not $15 worth of difference. $5 at most. Well, it 's cause yours comes with bread, my dad joked. I laughed, he laughed; it was funny.Then the waitress said the same thing, and it was suddenly not funny.I figured when it came out that she misheard me and gave me a smaller portion or an order got mixed up. It happens, no biggie. But when my friend brought up to the waitess how mine looked small for the price, the waitress said the bowls for side and main only looked similar, and they only half-fill the side, AND mine comes with bread (apparently it 's some expensive bread).Portions were too small for their price and the waitress was incredibly dismissive of our concerns. I shouldn 't have to make a stop on the way home to get dinner after spending $20 on seafood chowder. Rediculous.

I went for lunch today at the Barrhaven Heart and Crown with my mother-in-law, wife and our 15th month old baby. My child was thrilled and excited to see all the beautiful Christmas lights. When we sat to have lunch I was advised my the waitress to ensure we keep the noise down obviously aimed at my baby.This is the first time I’ve ever been told at any establishment that my infant is making too much noise. Babies express themselves when they are happy and excited. The restaurant was empty.I am completely appalled and disgraced by the service I received. This is not a kid friendly restaurant at all. I will never go back to this restaurant and will ensure I tell all my friends and family.Shame at you.. .

My food, seafood chowder, was delicious. My parents' food was another story. My mom's fish and ship was both too oily and dry, while the cheese in my dad's pouting wasn't even melted. Also cost a lot, 16 bucks, for a pretty small poutine..The restaurant was pretty empty but the wait was long.

I have never in my life been denied entry into an establishment because of the colour of my skin. I had came here twice in the past and everything was fine. And all of a sudden I have a lifetime ban when I have done nothing wrong here. I just wanted to meet people because I am new to the very racist Barrhaven.
