Habesha - Ottawa

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. My companion is a fan of Ethiopian cuisine, so I brought her here and we were both impressed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. When my six-year-old wanted chocolate milk with her meal, they didn't have any but they went out of their way to get some from a nearby store. It's rare to find such great service at a restaurant. Do yourself a favor and try Ethiopian cuisine here, it's definitely worth it. I give this place a 5-star rating.

I have been a loyal customer of Habesha for years! Even though I used to live on Rideau and would order from them frequently, I now make the journey from Brockville just to enjoy their food. My go-to is the vegetarian platter, which is definitely in my top 5 favorite dishes of all time.

We ordred keytips (beef), nech tip (lamb). Both were delicious. We loved it. The sum was cheap $32 tip. Good food, good service.

This is for two visits, since I guess i didn’t finish this in March: I hadn’t been to Ottawa in months and I really was looking forward to going to Habesha and I was not disappointed. The family feeling has moved from the old smaller...cramped restaurant to the new larger brighter space with the same great food. I ate most of a veggie platter for two by myself and the GF had a meat plate which she really liked and there was even enough for lunch the next day. My May trip brought me here again for the lunch buffet. It was so nice to gorge myself on this wonderful, fresh and clean food. The injera is as good as always but I tried not to eat so much. The buffet is well worth it, eat at your own pace and try everything. Habesha Is my Ottawa staple and I am so, so happy to return here and enjoy the food every time. See you guys again soon.
