Contribuiți la feedbackI had heard of this lovely bakery in Manotick with beautiful gingerbread cookies, gingerbread houses and other delicious treats, but had not gone to check it out because I 'm never in Manotick. Fortunately, I was gifted a Bag O 'Snaps from my sister-in-law, which is a bag of their ginger snaps. Let me tell you, these cookies were crunchy, and really did snap when I bit into them. They had a very potent ginger flavour, and were absolutely delicious! They are the best gingersnap cookies I 've ever had! Now the sad thing is, I learned that in November 2022 there was a fire that destroyed the bakery. So they are temporarily closed, but they hope to rebuild the bakery and reopen at a later date. I wish them all the best, and when they reopen, I will make the trek to Manotick to pick up another Bag O 'Snaps and likely other goodies.
This is one of the coolest stores I have visited in the Ottawa region. The gingerbread decorations are true works of art, while their ice cream shop has become a compulsory stop for my children whenever we visit Manotick. We have even been known to buy the occasional cookies during our visits. This is not only a must see shop for first time visitors to the area, but it also brings continous smiles to customers who have become regulars.
Cashier stormed up to an autistic child and yelled at her for poking a fudge bar and complained that no one would buy it. Cashier had no right yelling at a child. She should have dealt with the adult she was with directly and kept her professionalism. You never know the reason behind a child’s behaviour: you terrified this little girl. Poor customer service and I will never step foot in that place again! The poked fudge that was purchased was gross by the way. Good riddance
Stopped in for the free cookie offered during the Olde Fashioned Christmas event. Cookie was great, and it was nice seeing all the products they offer. Will definitely be back to get some goodies!*Update* Have been back again, this time to try their ice cream. Some amazing gingerbread displays inside the store, and a large selection of treats! Ice cream was delicious, as are the gingerbread cookies!
The shop seems humble and unassuming on the outside, but once you walk in the front door, the first thing you notice is the amazing smell. Gingerbread. Greeted warmly by Richard and Kaori, the kids and I felt welcome to explore their fantastic gingerbread wonderland! All sorts of fun (and delicious) cookies and incredible houses works of art, really. I haven’t tried them yet, but I also hear that they have some of the most amazing tarts and breads, and their ice cream is certainly a favourite of Manotick. I’ll be visiting again! Thank you guys so much!
