Dolsot Cafe - Ottawa

We've eaten here 3 times in the last 18 months and enjoyed it every time, nice service with reasonable prices. We got take away today and even after a 30 minute drive was very tasty. We had the dueng jang jii gae & the kan pung gii (deep fried chicken with sweet & spicey sauce - sweet & only a little spicy), both tasty, very nice dishes. Every time we eat there, we want to go back again and we will. Give it a try!

We had the Gyozas and Tempura. The Gyozas were overcooked. Tempura was excellent but lacked a dipping sauce. Our main entrees were the Kalbi and Chicken Bulgobi. They were both very good. Good portions.The dining area is more suited for lunchtime crowds.Nothing fancy. Service was good. Overall the prices were reasonable. I would give it a "B".

I married into a Korean family and have had the privilege of visiting a couple times. Dolsot cafe is the best Ottawa has to offer for an authentic Korean restaurant. Whenever we visit I'm taken back in my memory to Korea and all the fun we had. The food and service there is great. We always eat there when feeling homesick. The price and quality is always to our liking. The updates under the new manger have been satisfactory. I hope to see the business continue to improve. We also appreciate the little Korean/Japanese grocery store in the same building. We can buy many Korean staples here to make our own Korean meals. It would be nice if the prices were a bit lower though. Don't walk by this place. Go in. Its something really special.

Real, authentic Korean cuisine. Tastes as in Seoul! Highly recommended. Yummy kim- chi soup and wonderful chicken bul-go-gi. Also very good gyoza dumplings...

I've been going to this spot for years. It has always felt like being at a regular restaurant in Korea, food is always good, good portion size, good ingredients without the short cuts some places use and the staff is nice. And being able to grocery shop next door at Arum is great. I usually do both on one trip, even if I'm just getting kimbop to go.
