Darcy McGees - Ottawa

Porter had breakfast in Toronto at the end of November. The restaurant was busy with customers sitting at tables in the center, so Porter chose a table on the side. The waiter mentioned that they prefer to keep all customers together, but understood Porter's preference. Porter noticed that the restaurant was crowded and wondered if it was a new policy. Despite wanting some space due to flu and Covid concerns, Porter's seat choice was influenced by wanting to watch a FIFA World Cup game on TV near the kitchen. He ordered a Benny Bagel with coffee for $18.99, but was disappointed with the thin bearanaise sauce on his meal. After paying in cash, he left the restaurant while still watching the game.

The restaurant is in a fantastic location with a great atmosphere. The food is excellent and the service is top-notch. We loved it so much that we went back twice during our trip. Highly recommended.

We had the best meal and excellent service at this restaurant. Mia, our server, really enhanced our evening with her friendliness and charm. She was probably the most beautiful and accommodating staff member we encountered during our trip to the USA and Canada. We highly recommend trying the beef Guinness and mushroom dish, it was delicious. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

I always enjoyed myself here during the many times I came. Not only the beer selection was very good, I was happy with the many dishes I had eaten here for the years (e.g. fish and chips; burgers; Steak Friites;...penne). Note: My last visit was early October and I had a lot of fun again.

We walked along the Sparks walkway and ended up here to tip a pint. Nice location in Ottawa and great for people watching. Beers are expensive but that is Ottawa/these days anyway so just enjoy! Cheers.
