Courtyard Restaurant - Ottawa

We had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. Everything was perfect! We were pleasantly surprised when the restaurant called to confirm our reservation and asked about any food restrictions or special needs we may have. The food was absolutely divine. The beet salad was unlike any other beet salad I've ever had, and the trout was probably the best dish I've ever tasted. The aromas were incredible! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the lamb dish as well. Our server, Ben, was attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and charming with a great sense of humor. The whole team did a great job and made us feel very special. Thank you!

We held our wedding at The Courtyard in Ottawa in November 2022 and were thrilled with the experience. The professional and organized staff helped us plan our special day. The venue was fantastic, the food was delicious, and all of our wedding guests had a wonderful time. It truly is a one-stop shop! The staff was friendly and patient.

My husband and I had a small wedding with around 45 guests at the Courtyard, and the venue was the perfect size. For our day event, we were able to rent the loft room for our ceremony and the McArthur rooms for lunch. Julia, the Senior Event Coordinator, promptly responded to our rental inquiries and available appointments via email. Although we considered other venues in and around Ottawa, we ultimately chose something in the market area for the convenience of our out-of-town guests. The event itself went by quickly, but the venue was stunning. We met with Julia the day before to discuss our decorations, and she did an excellent job arranging everything. On the day of the wedding, Julia was a calming presence and even helped our family members locate essential items like Tylenol and safety pins. She also assisted us in finding last-minute accommodations for guests whose Airbnb reservations were cancelled on the day of their arrival. Many of our guests particularly enjoyed the carrot cake. We were able to upgrade our wine selection from the bar menu, as our guests drank less than anticipated during the event. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our experience.

Brian I traveled 8 hours to get married in Ottawa. We were not satisfied with our experience. The simple planning of things with Julia helped to make this experience a breeze. The food, the location, the appearance, the staff, all were amazing!!!!!!! The food was... worth all.

This restaurant, located in the Byward Market district in Ottawa, has it all picturesque building, great food, and attentive service. My husband and I were initially concerned when we made the reservation, as we were informed that they were hosting a wedding that evening....Not to worry they make sure to only accept reservations at a time when they know that the kitchen will be able to produce their usual high quality food. We were in a small room away from the celebration and it was very quiet. They also checked in with us (twice), to be sure that they didn't serve any ingredients that were a problem for us. It is this attention to detail that makes them stand out. Highly recommended!
