Thai Coconut - Ottawa Canada

Our office are lunch take-out regulars at this place for several years now and today someone found a roach in their thai coconut chicken combo dinner. I called the restaurant to let them know and the guy on the line replied “oh ok thanks”… he didn’t sound surprised, didn’t apologise and certainly didn’t offer compensation. The food is good, but very hesitant to go back. There is a saying “the dirtier the kitchen, the better the food” but I’m not convinced it’s worth it!

The Thai coconut chicken is my favorite dish at this restaurant, and I highly recommend it! The service is excellent, and the quality of the food is great. The yellow curry chicken is absolutely delicious! I dined here with a friend, and we can't wait to come back again!

Food was very salty. I asked for less salt and the waiter said okay. She brought food and it was still salty. When I complained about the salt and asked why it was still so salty, she said the sauces were pre-made and she couldn't do anything. When I asked her why she didn't inform me of that when I was ordering she couldn't offer an explanation. Also, rice, tea, all kinds of things are extra on top of already pricey meals.

Used to live nearby, then we moved. Have tried the odd other place but we still default to Thai Coconut, even with the added distance. So worth the time!Food is always excellent!Ordering for take out is prompt and food is always hot when we arrive.Don’t hesitate to make this your favourite go-to!

So hard to find an authentic Thai cuisine in Ottawa so this is my first time trying here. I don 't believe this is AUTHENTIC at all. All the staffs are Chinese... So you tell me where the authenticity is???Food: I ordered the Thai curry chicken and potatoes and stir-fried beef... Food is good. Has distinctive taste of Thai cuisineOne thing they should clearly state in the menu is, TEA IS EXTRA. I felt ripped off when having to pay $5 for a pot of tea... Like really??? The waitress came over, offered us tea... At any other Asian restaurant, pot of tea is FREE. At this place, they blatantly charged $5 a pot. $2-3 is acceptable, $5 is wayyy over their headNo more coming back to this place as I know they will just try to rip you off
