White Horse - Ottawa

Tried to go for breakfast this morning. The building is boarded up. Sad to see another restaurant that didn't survive.

I would give it 3.5 stars. Decent breakfast at a reasonable price. The waitress was a bit weird about the Rye toast. Instead of telling us it as an extra charge (which we didn't mind) she went into a conversation about a customer complaining about the extra charge ? Not greasy just home cooked breakfast.

Gross. Off tasting potatoes. Found piece of stainless wool in my sandwich.

Moved to Ottawa (Vanier) 3 years ago, found out that Wal-Mart is at Trainyards. as i was walking to Wal-Mart, i stumbled upon The Whitehorse Restaurant, decided to go have some coffee as a Pit Stop. thought i’ll probably like the place if i stop by another time, so i did stop by another time i wasn’t disappointed. this White Horse Restaurant is one of the places i usually come back to, due to their awesome food. fairly large, different varieties of food choices actually but i usually grab the same 3 or 4 same old choices whenever i’m there. what really surprises me is that it’s a Family Owned/one and only type of restaurant. which makes the place seem that much more special. they cater to large or small functions have a note/letter on their menu as well

If you had anywhere else in mind for breakfast, forget about it right away and come here instead. Amazing food. Hot, fresh, homemade. 10/10.This was my first time here so I haven't tried any of the lunch/dinner options, but if it's anything like their breakfast, this will be my new favorite spot.
