The Barley Mow Pub - Ottawa

Someone on the management side has made positive changes recently.  There is better service and fresh new menu.  The Barrhaven Mow was absolutely a 3 star venue at best.  We (family of 4) visited 3 times from 2014 to 2016 and we decided not to return. But I stopped in for a beer 2 months ago, and we've been back twice since.  The new menu is amazing.  The Pub Curry, and the Mac n' Cheese dishes are VERY good (both are better with some Goose Island Honker's ale).  The service is excellent.  Give this spot another chance, you won't be disappointed.

Better than expected!<br/ <br/ Dropped in here with a large group and had low expectations. That changed as I enjoyed the roti wrap while bf had pub curry. We both appreciated quality of our dishes and portion size. Service was very good esp considering size of our group. <br/ <br/ I will be back ! :

Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Extremely impressed! I had the eggs Benedict and my husband had the breakfast poutine. This food was prepared by someone who cares about what they send out.<br/ <br/ Fresh ingredients and everything homemade. Nothing frozen or reheated here.<br/ <br/ Perfection!

The food in this place has turned around. Very good!

Came for a decent meal, though was frightened by so many negative reviews. Had good pub burgers (veggie burger was great! and pints. Came on a Friday night, good atmosphere, live music, busy but not too much so. Service was attentive also.
