Kiss My Dish Soul Kitchen - Oswego

I recently visited this restaurant for a big date night, and I have to say, it was a mixed experience. First off, the drink options were quite limited—just lemonade and water. However, the pink lemonade was surprisingly delicious, and everyone at the table enjoyed it. If you're hoping for a cocktail menu, though, this isn't the place for you. We made a reservation ahead of time after reading that it's best to do so. The service started off a bit slow, as we had to wait for everything to be prepared fresh. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the menu choices. I wanted to order French fries, but the only option was a children's meal that came with them. Another downside was that it was a Friday night, but many of the Chef's Signature dishes listed at the top of the menu weren't available. The waitress informed us that they only offer certain items during the week. I was particularly looking forward to the shrimp and grits, but instead, we had to settle for fried chicken and fried shrimp. Despite the limited menu and drink options, what we ordered turned out to be quite good. The mac and cheese side dish was especially tasty, and the batter on the fried items was perfectly done. If you live near Oswego and have a few hours to enjoy dinner, I recommend giving this place a try. Just make sure to call ahead for reservations and confirm what dishes are available. I would love to return to try the shrimp and grits when they’re available. However, I wouldn't recommend going with children, as the wait times can be long. My kids managed okay, but it was a bit challenging to keep them entertained for a couple of hours.

This restaurant is easily one of the best we've visited. If you're craving authentic South Sea home-cooked meals, this is the place to be. The atmosphere was fantastic, with music that truly resonates with the soul. Our waitress provided outstanding customer service, and the chef even came out to greet us after our meal, embodying the spirit of southern hospitality. It's a lovely place to dine, and the prices are quite reasonable. The portion sizes are generous, and the food was absolutely delicious—words can't fully capture just how amazing it was! We will definitely be returning, and reservations are advised.

I know good soul food, and this place doesn't just serve it; it offers the best soul food I've ever tasted. My taste buds were doing flips! I even took a job in Green's home and woke up at 2:30 in the morning just to eat here. The waitress was incredibly attentive, and the cook was humble when we expressed our appreciation. This is a place you definitely want to try; you won't regret it. It's officially my new favorite restaurant!

The place was nice and cozy. Very intimate. Decor was pleasantly soothing. We were on seafood. The food was great. Very cheap. Sometimes you can fool, but my food was flattered and outdated my expectations. My service was wonderful. But bringing food to our tables was very slow. Seems like the boss prepares every plate individually. The staff was very accommodating, so we came with child. I guess so. An explanation for the owner/boss, even if you are in the kitchen, your girls can still hear you and talk to your staff! Will return to experience your other delicious menu offers. Please TRY this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

The food was great and the service was phenomenal! We will definitely be back! They texted me a copy of the menu prior to ordering.
