Panze Rotto Gourmet - OSTUNI

Visited panzerotto for lunch time during our stay in Ostuni. The panzerotto with mortadella was the tastiest thing ever! I was craving it the day after when it was unfortunately closed! Must-do for lunch if in Ostuni and a lovely outdoor spot in the main square! 10/10

After so many positive culinary experiences in Puglia I am saddened to write a scathing review about this establishment the best feature of which was a large outside space vis a vis the main square of Ostuni's old town. Panze Rotti are no more than sandwiches in a particular fried bread with different fillings. We had one with a vegetarian filling and one with parma ham and mozzarella cheese. Having waited more than 40 minutes for these simple dishes we were served a portion of chips in a paper bag (5 Euro) to satisfy our rumbling stomachs and after further 15 minutes the Panza Rotte arrived, in paper bags which were simply tasteless despite the fresh ingredients and rather smallish portion. A service charge of 1.50 Euro each is added for the long waiting time, a coke is 3.50 Euro and the total bill amounted to 26 Euro for absolutely nothing, a tasteless bite of unsatisfying food. So avoid at all costs as the minute kitchen can not serve more than one person at a time and the food is utterly tasteless.

One week in Puglia, multiple visits to Panze Rotto. On my first visit, there was a stubborn bee clearly interested on my food; all the staff sat close to me trying to keep it away which led to some laughs and showed how kind they all are. From the meat ones, to the fish, vegetarian and sweets, you have a lot of (great) options tried one of each in a great location. Panze Rotto Gourmet to me was as much about the food as it was about the people. Will definitely go back hopefully soon and take friends with me.

Dato per accertato che in zona i panzerotti si trovano ad ogni angolo va apprezzata l'iniziativa di questo locale di tentare di dare un prodotto un pò diverso dal solito. Qui potete assaggiare dei panzerotti cotti in maniera diversa e soprattutto farciti in maniera diversa. Se non siete integralisti potrete assaggiare ottime combinazioni per un pasto un pò diverso. Prezzo un pò più alto della media di questo tipo di locali. Molto gentile il servizio. Consigliato
