Restaurant Schmitte - Ostermundigen

Ostermundigen is not a goal (confide in me, I live there), but d’schmitte is a goal for itself! I rarely felt so personal about the couple that runs this six-table restaurant. my wife and I visit every season to experience the seasonal menu. The...foods are world-class, the Swiss wine list contains some rare gems and we always leave with smiles and anticipation of our next visit!

If they live in the city or in another city around Bern, the journey to Eastermundigen is more than word it. the beautiful couple is very welcoming and due to few tables it is a very cozy atmosphere. they take time to talk. to all their guests and make them feel like home in their restaurant. eating was more than perfect, local products and fresh ingredients, nothing to complain. they know all their suppliers personally and can also give them more information about the weinberge etc. I would go back absolutely, they can also rent it for special occasions that must also be amazing. consider that they need to reserve several weeks/months in advance because they do not have so many tables.

Amazing experience. everything proved to be over expectation and price quality ratio is perfect. that is a high-ranking place. very surprised, staff very friendly with much knowing. Don't miss it.

The second time I ate here and enjoyed it again. the menus are carefully thought out and complement each other beautifully. in any case some combinations I would never have thought!
