Colpa D'alfredo - OSTELLATO

We like to call ourselves campers with goto because besides the camper we like to eat and the stop from alfredo has fully satisfied us. We stopped 1 night on the return from Ferrara and had dinner. traditional dishes but with a touch of innovation. of course the tigelles but also much more, than goodness the tortelli with cabbage! quiet place, simple and cute and so much kindness also with our mini dog. we recommend and we will definitely return. for the motorhome parking recommend to book.

We were recommended this restaurant by friends and were so pleased we went. Davida, the owner, was most welcoming and explained the menu in excellent English. He has delicious pizzas (not ham and pineapple not in Italy! and local specialities. The sharing platter of meats and cheese was of excellent quality and every course was a treat. Try the chocolate salami! He also does take away pizzas.

During our 7 day stay in Runco we eat in Colpa D'Alfredo 4 times. This was not recommended to us we just found it by chance one evening when we were hungry and was on the lookout for some where nice to eat. We meet David on our first visit and he was very helpful as you will appreciate menus are in Italian which we don't speak and fortunately he has good English. He explained the different dishes and made some recommendations and they were all very good and also recommended some nice red wine. We arrived 6.30 one evening not realising they didn’t open until 7 and David brought us in no problem. He explained to us about the olive oil they use and all the different breads we were given. It is always nice when you re visit a place that they remember you and make you feel very welcome.
