Nel's Cafe - Ossian

This charming little diner is located in the heart of Downtown Ossian. The owner is my former neighbor, and both she and the waitress are incredibly friendly, quick, and eager to assist with any questions or feedback you may have about your meal. The food served here is quite good as well. Having grown up in Ossian, I've always enjoyed coming here for a meal with my father and savoring the cozy atmosphere of this diner. While the hours are somewhat limited, it’s definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it to anyone living in the area or passing through on Indiana Hwy 1.

I absolutely adore this charming café! The food is always excellent, and the waitress Ruth is incredibly sweet. I highly recommend it!

The cook who starts at 9 o'clock is a bit slow, but the food arrives in a reasonable time. Everything is made from scratch; they use fresh ingredients and real eggs instead of pre-packaged frozen ones. The decor is beautiful, and they accept both cash and card. The prices are fantastic—you could feed 10 people for about $50. Many websites say they’re open until 2 o'clock, but they have actually been operating until 6 or 11 o'clock for nearly a year.
