I loooove the atmosphere of this place. Bookstore on one side and cafe on the other. My favorite part is the couch seating area behind the coffee bar though...

What an incredible place. Cafe, restaurant, bar, conference/event location, book store, good place to meet friends, have drinks, do reading or working on the laptop...they're everything in one : Outdoor seating in the summer is lovely. The crowd can sometimes be pretentious intellectual types (you know who you are, haha but never mind! People are pleasant and that's what matters. Not always the place to meet new friends or share a great conversation with a stranger, but that's a rare luxury to find in Norway anyway I like the type of events that are held here. Grab a program or go on their website to see what's coming up. There are occasional literature events specifically for children, and that's super sweet. Political, social, environmental issues, educational and health related topics, Open Mic and regularly occurring weekly activities, in addition to featuring different authors and books of course...and much more. Mainly, entrance to events is free of charge.

An interesting spot in Oslo, one of the “must sees”. Restaurant offers mostly Asian food. Lemonade is great.
