Cafe Teater - Oslo

The wait staff at this restaurant were completely unacceptable. One server kept approaching our table aggressively, insisting that we order more food with a scowl on their face. As if that wasn't unsettling enough, after 25 minutes, I was told that I wasn't eating quickly enough and needed to leave. I was actually thrown out! I came in feeling happy but left feeling confused and bitterly angry. To make matters worse, my 10-year-old daughter never received her drink. It was a truly terrible experience. I do not recommend dining here.

Visited with family in the early afternoon on a Saturday. Had an all-day full breakfast, the sausage was a bit too spicy for my taste, otherwise the food was okay. The Weihenstephaner Hefe-Weissbier on tap was not in perfect nick, either the line was unclean, or the keg was too old. Not particularly cheap.

Me and a friend of mine went to this place during a sunny day in July. The place is in a great location in Torshov and during a nice day it is very nice to seat outside and enjoy the weather. They have a food menu however we just had few drinks. The staff was quite nice.

My family stayed nearby we ate lunch here it was a nice meal the young woman from Greece was very nice. We came back later that night to drink another man was running the place refused us service because he was LAZY! The place is open until 0100 it was only 1210. He was playing games on his phone said he wouldn't serve us to stop bothering him . We thought he was joking but he was serious. Very rude. Would not recommend this place because of this young mans attitude service. My mother is handicapped at that time of night it was inconvenient to walk so much further when all we wanted was a beer.

The cafe is located in the middle of a residential area with a theater attached to it. The decor was rustic and intimate with candlelight on every table. The menu was interesting with Mexican next to burgers. We kept our expectation low but was pleasantly surprised. My husband's beef burger was very tasty and loaded with toppings: cheese, onions, bacon, mushroom and dressing. It was served on toasted bread, not burger buns. My chicken enchiladas was delicious as well with seasoned rice and salad. The portion was big. They also have a full bar and my husband enjoyed 2 beers. The staff was friendly. The place actually started to get more packed when we left at 9:30pm. Our meal with 2 beers was 458 NOK before tips.
