Ground Round At River's Edge - Oshkosh

The food was enjoyable. I particularly liked the wings and sirloin tips; both were excellent. However, I wasn't a fan of the onion rings or cheese curds. The onion rings had too much breading and were overcooked, while the cheese curds were rather unremarkable. The service was decent; we only saw our waitress at the beginning and end of our meal, with no mid-meal check-in, but that wasn't a deal-breaker. Overall, we would definitely go back again.

We had an incredible experience tonight! After a long afternoon at a graduation ceremony, we walked into this restaurant expecting to wait 2 to 3 hours for a table. To our surprise, the fantastic staff seated our group of ten within just 10 minutes of entering! The food was outstanding as well. We will definitely be back. This restaurant is a true find! I called in advance to check if they allowed dogs on their patio, and they enthusiastically replied, "Absolutely, we love dogs!" As soon as we were seated, a manager came over with a bowl of ice water and a treat for our dog. The patio, positioned right by the water, is a beautiful spot to unwind. The food was fantastic, too—I tried one of their flatbreads, and it was delicious. We will definitely make a point to visit again the next time we pass through town!

As for the food, I had a deep-fried Oreo encased in pancake batter with a side of ice cream, brulee bites, and tenderloin de Veau paired with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was delicious!

When we arrived, the dining room was closed due to a shortage of staff, but we had the option to eat at the bar or outside on the patio. We opted for the patio by the river, which offered fantastic views. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was enjoyable and generously portioned. We would definitely return to this restaurant.
